Clapham Film Unit is a collective of filmmakers based in the UK. Our aim is to train and equip local people to tell their own stories on film. We make documentaries, run workshops, give filmmaking advice to communities and hold an archive of work by our members.
The first documentary made with WILPF UK “These Dangerous Women” was broadcast on the Community Channel and awarded Highly Commended by the Women’s Community History PrizeThese Dangerous Women.

Charlotte Bill, has directed documentaries and project managed 9 community history projects for Clapham Film Unit and worked successfully on an international level.

Clapham Film Unit is responsible for the documentary and a booklet telling the story of the women who went to the 1919 international women’s conference in Zurich. Clapham film Unit will recruit, coordinate and train volunteers in archive research skills, costume and documentary.
